Decions, decisions!

This week has been the culmination of a big decision that I have been thinking about for quite a while. Today, I took the plunge, and did it! I've been a part time au-pair for the past year, and have been truly blessed through my experiences with the children. Recently, though, I have been feeling frustrated at having such a limited amount of time to myself. So, after much praying, I handed my letter of resignation in today. I have no idea what I'll be doing next year to make money, but I have faith that the Lord will provide. What I do look forward to is furthering my music studies and having plenty of time to spend with my family.

a new week

My two weeks of holiday were awesome. I enjoyed spending time with my family from Grahamstown, in particular my two fabulous aunts. I got to see friends quite a lot too which was fun. The other thing I like about holidays is that I am just at home and I get to spend time with my own immediate family which is very important to me. One highlight of the holiday was being able to go to my favourite place in the world - Fish River. It was quite amazing that we were able to go, but it happened and for that I am thankful. We spent three short days there, but every moment was great. We were able to take a friend of mine with us, and I think it is a real privilege to be able to share such a special place with someone else.
Today I look ahead over the coming week. It can sometimes be discouraging when I see how many responsibilities I have, and how much work I have to get done. But then I remember the saying, "With great blessings come great responsibilities". I am aware that I have been incredibly blessed in many ways, and thus it is my duty to make the best of what I have been given. This week I wish to love everyone around me with all my heart, and to do all I can for the Lord, as I grow in Him.

I put the pen to the paper for the first time...

Today I was introduced to blogging. It is with keen anticipation that I look forward to sharing my thoughts and opinions in this blog. Hopefully something of interest can be taken from my writings and I, too, will grow from this experience. This blog is going to be something of a journal where I discuss my opinions, and events of my daily life, from a Christian perspective.
